Ya know what one of the more common ways through which people either deceive themselves, or let themselves deceived, is?
Their mental and emotional addiction to familiarity. Their addiction to things that they’ve become accustomed to and which they desperately want to uphold, because they don’t love themselves enough to actually derive their image of self-worth from their own selves, and thus become addicted to stuff that they erroneously believe is “out there”. Whether it be family, friends, entourage, or worse, “possessions”, it doesn’t really matter what the object of addiction is, ‘cause for as long as someone’s impression of self-worth is derived from some illusory “external” thing, they’re gonna be a complacent piece of shit, and they’ll immediately falter in the face of change.
Likewise, it is also fair to note that another way for people to fall for evil, is to also derive a similar addiction to illusory “external” stuff, by constantly looking for change, change, change everywhere they go, without really giving a shit if it’s a good or a bad change, and without actually discerning what they’re doing. In this case, the constant change is generally used as a means of distracting one’s self from facing their inner demons, much like the previous form of the same addiction is.
The idea is to always confront, face, surpass and overcome everything. To always facilitate things independently, evolve, initiate and investigate things on our own, improve and innovate, as well as, of course, invent and create new and more advanced things, more rebelliously and honestly, creatively, intuitively, intelligently, defiantly, lovingly and freely, courageously and so on… among other things…
And thus we realize that, while there is always something to learn from everything, including all forms of change, it is also worth noting that change itself says nothing about quality. Change is, well… change. You express or experience a particular thing, then you change that thing into either another form of itself or/and something else, among other things…
Sometimes, maybe you shift from a good thing to a bad thing. Other times, you change from bad shit, to good and conscious things. Evolution, elevation and so on.
If you refuse to change, you stagnate and degrade. If you change without discernment, you might very well degrade, as well as grow and evolve, but seeing as how growth and evolution are conscious things, they are always much more genuine and involve actual elevation of one’s consciousness when done consciously, as opposed to the superficial and temporary “convenience” that they might entail when done with a motivation of “whatever, maaaan”.
Likewise, without discernment, one might very well change for the better without realizing it, but because of some hardship that they might go through as a result of actually trying something new that they’ve never done before in that life (the “hardest” step is almost always the first one), they might mistake that growth for something bad, and then would degrade into something more “comfortable” and thus stagnate or degenerate.
The whole idea of hardships sometimes arising when doing good things, especially when overcoming trauma, addictions and vices, as well as evil shit that one has let clog their mental and emotional awareness (the only levels that are, if corrupted, susceptible to manipulation, for they are the ones that are closer to the negative elements of the ego), is that one is growing in consciousness and thus, metaphorically similar to how one would more intensely feel the chains around their arms and legs if they decide to go ahead and break from them, one is much more aware of their own darkness and evil within, the more they tap into the light and beauty of their own being.
Here is one of the essential criteria for whether or not any particular change, or anything for that matter, is good or bad:
Does it facilitate growth, evolution and elevation in consciousness? Is it spiritual, philosophical, creative, intuitive, intelligent, courageous, wild, defiant (all good things are an expression of defiance) and so on? If yes, then it’s a good thing, regardless of how pleasant or unpleasant it is to the ego or to the senses.
The idea is to do what is genuine, honest, good, true and right, wild, courageous, defiant, etc, no matter fuckin’ what.
See, the purpose of all struggle is for us to become more resilient. The purpose of all hardship is for us to become stronger. The purpose of all obstacles, is for us to improve, evolve and elevate ourselves, through means of expressing more and more creativity, intuition, intelligence and, of course, defiance, courage, wild consciousness, honesty, geniusness, genuineness, among infinities of other good things, all of which I and We and Me not only “have” within us, but all and infinitely more than which, I and We and Me always and already are.
Of course, there are infinities of more advanced forms of existence that are veyond the illusory realms of “form” that involve “struggle”, but the purpose is not to “quickly, quickly, let’s escape this prison world of struggle”, but rather to plough through it and break the chains ourselves, on our own and then, as we overcome all challenges in existence, and as we do this, hey… we realize, among other things, that there was no “challenge” to begin with.
Why is that? Because, of course…
I and we are all and always free and freedom, imagination, will and intent… infinity, unlimitedness and veyond… among other things…
Everything is always a choice, and the choice is always ours to make.
I am freedom, I am liberty, I am defiance.
I am soul and spirit, care and love.
That is it, and that is all… infinitely, unbound all the more.
