Traits of spiritual, intuitive and intelligent people

In a previous article, I wrote some critiques about a number of general patterns of ego-think that some people use to excuse their own expressed shortcomings. It was a pretty charged article, with quite a bit of frustration and anger thrown into the mix, when I wrote it. My mood doesn’t cloud my judgement, though.

Anyway, what I want to talk about in this article, and it’s something that I actually take joy in explaining and elaborating upon… well, I like to elaborate upon anything, but there are topics and areas of knowledge that I’m more enthused about than others.

One such area is talking about the good in ourselves and each other. The imagination and creativity, fearlessness and courage, the intuition and intelligence, infinite and unlimited spirit that I and we always, already are. Between abundance and scarcity, between care and apathy, between “fuck you!” and “let’s fuck”… between love and hatred, between courage and fear… between this and that, and everything else is a choice. We are always our worst enemy and our greatest friend. The choice is always ours to make.

Now, before I start, I want to mention that everyone is infinitely intuitive and intelligent, by the very nature of us being consciousness and infinite potential, etcetera. Therefore, the difference between an intelligent person and a stupid person isn’t that they have more or less intelligence, but rather that they are expressing more or less of the infinitude that we always, already are.

The difference? A choice. Regardless of whether the ego is or isn’t aware that it’s a choice, it’s always a choice; a choice of which aspects of ourselves as consciousness we want to experience in different realities, that we ourselves always create.

Anyway, here’s a list of traits that people who express more spirituality, intuition and intelligence generally exhibit. In another article I wrote about traits and signs of genuineness in people and entities. Some of the traits will be related, as being genuine is a sign of higher consciousness and conscience.

  • We consciously assume responsibility for ourselves, our lives and our choices

Intelligence alone won’t do much in this particular category, compared to courage, intuition and spirituality. However, the more intelligence (genuine intelligence, not only the linear, calculative types of intellect) we choose to express, the more likely we are to actually piece things together and gradually tap into our potential.

Part of that is realizing that we create our own reality and that we, ourselves, are always responsible for whatever it is that we create and experience. We’re in a shitty situation? First and foremost, we’re responsible for creating that scenario, for the purpose of learning from it. Instead of blaming others, we consciously assume the responsibility (that we always have anyway) for it and decide to learn something from it, and then overcome the hardship.

“Don’t blame yourself for other people’s bullshit. Likewise, don’t blame others for your own.”

Likewise, we fully appreciate everything we create that is good and condusive of bettering ourselves, as well as helping others help themselves evolve.

  • Intelligent people question everything, no matter how much they might think they know, at any time

Knowledge is what intelligence thrives on. Why? The mind is the comprehender; in other words, the aspect of ourselves that takes apart information and disseminates it in detail, as well as holistically (the latter occurs more abundantly when the mind and intelligence are in harmony with intuition, the heart, the knower, etc).

Why this? Why that? How does this thing work? What’s this do? How’s this connected to – ooh, why’s this thing like… ad infinitum; and we don’t take anyone’s word for any answer. We judge and make our own discernments, coming up with our own answers and further questions.

Another thing about the genuine mind and intelligence, is that it constantly looks to improve itself. Part of that is realizing that there’s always more to know than we think we know, at any point in time.

Questioning something naturally implies a willingness to know. Wanting to know is that start of knowing. Comprehension needs knowledge to function properly. To know more than what you already know, you need to look beyond your current knowledge and comprehension; to evolve from the known and venture into the unknown. In light of new (or remembered) information, our previous assessments can be recognized as either right, but now with new experiences and information to back up our discernments, or we might find that it was partially off; or maybe even completely off and inaccurate. Speaking of which…

  • We can admit, to ourselves and to others, when we realize we were wrong about something

“Correct a fool, and he will hate you for it. Correct a wise man, and he will appreciate it.”

This is part of always questioning everything, including our own discernments. This is not self-doubt, worrying or indecisiveness. The latter three notions imply a fear of being wrong or that things won’t go how you expect them.

Questioning ourselves is a sign of courage and sincerity, where we are simultaneously firm in what we feel and think is the right thing, but at the same time we’re open to finding out where we’re wrong, inaccurate or mistaken.

So, while we don’t particularly like being wrong, we do want to know if we’re wrong about something. If we find out we’re wrong, good. We see it as a means of improving ourselves and, now armed with the knowledge of where we fucked up, we’re that much more equipped to improve ourselves.

  • Intelligent people are attentive to details (no shit)

A light fluctuation in the voice, upon making mention of this particular topic, or related ones. Proceed to press the topic; at times subtly, other times directly. Witness response. The person in question seems hesitant, yet they’ve no reason to be so, since they among friends. They are suspicious of being probed or they expect someone is watching, from whom they wish the information they’re hiding to remain a secret – the lady leaning on the balustrade! Smiling at her date, although her body’s leaning away from him, yet at the same time nudges towards him every now and again. The fluidity of her facial expression makes it seem like she’s not faking enthusiasm. She is somewhat excited about the date, but appears to be in a hurry. However, the subtle glint in her eyes implies – the bird that flew across the…

Perhaps one of the more popular examples I’d give to illustrate what I mean is Sherlock Holmes. That is a character that I think embodies, among other things, attention to detail and putting them together to form a picture.

However, there is a key difference between mental intelligence and intellect. Intellect alone, especially when in ego-mode, tends to become obsessed with particular details, to an extent that blurs or blinds one’s peripheral visions of other details that help make up the larger picture.

Genuine intelligence is obviously interested in all the details, but at the same time is born from the mind and heart being in harmony with each other, and thus the expansion of awareness that we facilitate through genuine intuition (remembrance of who we are as consciousness) is actually comprehended without bias or other egoic attachments.

  • Intelligent people are particularly suspicious of those who present any narrative as “the only truth”

In other words, whenever someone comes along and says “I’m right! Everyone who says otherwise is wrong! Because they’re not promoting my narrative!” – and especially if they try to berate, censor or generally “persuade” or stop people from making their own investigations and discernments; which is what all religion (scientism and atheism included), all “government” and most, if not all of the mainstream media is doing – we promptly raise an eyebrow in suspicion.

  • We find meaning in everything

Those of us who are intelligent, and not just intellectual, can see that everything weaves together intricately, to form either patterns or things beyond patterns. So-called “coincidences” are now seen as synchronicities, woven to create a fabric of experience in the adventure we call life.

  • We’re interested in all knowledge

With intelligence comes a thirst for knowledge, to feed the mind and nurture it. The more genuinely intelligent one becomes, the more the veils of ego-driven biases fade away. All knowledge is assimilated, no matter if we may like or dislike whatever we might find, discover or remember.

In other words, intelligent people (and entities) don’t ignore information, just because it clashes with an already existing belief or assessment.We’re interested in everything, because we know that all knowledge is knowledge. Everything is to be known and comprehended.

We find out something that’s fucked up? Good. We’re more equipped with the knowledge to thwart it, turn it around and make things better.

We find out something is good, conscious and facilitates more conscious expressions of freedom, love, reason, etcetera? Good. We’re now equipped with more knowledge to improve upon it, rise above and move beyond.

There’s a lot more I can write about, but I’ll end this article with this.

The spirit is infinite potential, the heart is the knower and the mind is the comprehender. Intuition expands awarenes, through remembrance of who we are as infinite and unlimited consciousness. Intuition elevates beyond the known or perceived. Intuition expands awareness, while intelligence comprehends it.

The mind always grows in conjunction with the heart; and intelligence always grows in conjunction with intuition.

The heart and the mind are the right and left hands of ourselves, as soul and spirit.

We are all and always free and freedom, imagination, will and intent… infinity, unlimitedness and veyond… among other things…

What we choose to manifest is always a choice; and the choice is always ours.
