The tale of three siblings (an allegory for life and after-life)

Once upon a time, within a mother’s womb, there were three babies. Of them, two were constantly at odds with each other. The calmer, yet also wilder one, inquired of the others: “I’m curious. Do you either of you feel or think there is life beyond Birth?”

One of them replied: “Why, of course. There is, indeed, life after Birth. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”

“Bah, nonsense!” said the other. “There is no life after Birth. What kind of life would that be?”

The other said: “Can be any kind of life. Maybe there will be more light than here. Perhaps we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths, instead of this funny cord. Maybe we will have other senses that we don’t discern at the moment.”

“That is absurd.” Came the reply. “Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need; but look how short it is. Life after Birth is logically to be excluded.”

The second insisted: “Well, I feel there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this cord anymore.”

The other replied, once more: “Nonsense! And, moreover, if there is such after-Birth, then why has no one has ever come back to tell us? Birth is the end of life, and in the after-Birth, there is nothing but darkness, silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”

“Well, that seems unlikely to me.” Said the second. “But, I think we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.”

The other replied: “Mother? Pfft! You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?”

The second said: “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are her children. Without that, this world would not be as it seems to be now.”

The other replied, once more: “Well, I don’t see Her! So it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.”

“Well, I feel her!” Said the second, yet again. “Therefore, it is natural that she does exist.”

On and on, it went; the two of them fighting, trying to strangle each other with the very cord that nurtured them.

The first stepped in: “If you only base your “logic” on what you perceive with your senses, then you are blind to anything you don’t perceive. You become obsessed and fail to see beyond this womb we’re living in, at this point in our eternal life.” Then, he turned towards the other. “If you only base your assumptions on hopes and emotions, or suppositions of an after-Birth, then you fail to appreciate your current life.”

Then, the first spoke to both:

“We are to open our hearts and our minds, if we want to remember ourselves as soul and spirit. Know thyself and ye shall know the world, both during and beyond any Birth and any after-Birth.

When we choose and calm ourselves, yet likewise become all the wilder, genuinely so, then… we more vividly perceive the presence, and we hear her loving voice, as well as our own, all the more clear.

We live through Mother, and Mother lives through us. There is no separation. Whether it is us or mother, in-form, we are all different expressions of ourselves as spirit and consciousness. But, the forms are just the masks, my friends. Useful for roleplaying, but we shouldn’t let ourselves be blinded by them; nor by anything. We need to remember who we are, beyond them.

We are all and always free and freedom, imagination, will and intent… infinity, unlimitedness and veyond… among other things…

What we choose to manifest, in Birth and any after-Birth, as well as whenever and however else, is always a choice.”

Then, all three of them sploshed out, met their parents and experienced the after-Birth together, as a family. Sometimes, they had similar arguments or conversations about something called an after-Life, but found that despite their different levels of knowledge, awareness and comprehension, they all lived happily and cared for one another, growing both with and without their parents.
